PED certification (Pressure Equipment Directive) is a product directive issued by the European Community (2014/68/EU) that regulates the design, manufacture, installation, and use of pressure equipment.
It defines the essential safety requirements that equipment operating with pressurized fluids must comply with. Its purpose is to ensure that design, manufacturing, inspection, and placing on the market are carried out according to uniform safety criteria throughout the European Union.
In the specific case of INNOVA S.r.l., the certificate attests to “internal manufacturing checks with monitoring of the final assessment” and, following the examination of the prerequisites, authorizes the manufacturer to place on the market pressure equipment falling within the relevant scope of application, with the CE marking accompanied by the identification number of Notified Body 0948, as it is associated with the body selected by INNOVA.
